IoT BASED ALCOHOL DETECTION AND ACCIDENT PREVENTION

Abstract

Abstract: Drunk driver detection is very important in today’s life for security aspect. It is very tedious work for real time scenario. Recently numerous Internet of Things (IoT) based system achieve good accuracy for detection of such events with location details. During this process, GPS modules are connected to the pic microcontroller. The GPS module captures the vehicle's longitude and latitude and then sends signals to the driver's relative through email until he arrives safely at his destination. We also deployed automobile accident prevention technology with an ultrasonic sensor that sends notifications tothe driver's family through email when the car is engaged in an accident. In this paper we proposed to detect alcohol in drivers and detect collisions and seat belt use. These days, many accidents occur due to the driver or person operating the vehicle having drunk alcohol. Consequently, drunk driving is a major cause of traffic accidents in almost every nation globally. The goal of the Alcohol Detector in Car project is to keep passengers safe while driving. They should execute this project inside the vehicle. The most important role of the system is to generate emergency event alerts and deliver them to surrounding support centres, such as hospitals, fire departments, and police stationsKeywords: Internet of things, GPS sensor, gas detector, policy-based algorithm, unsupervised learning
