Abstract

The modern world makesthe heavy use of multimedia. This field factually uses the Digital Signal processing ofsound. Adaptive filtering constitutes one of the core technologies in DSP and has various applications in science andindustry including echo cancellation,adaptive equalization, adaptive noise cancellation, audio denoising, etc. In any communication system, noise always plays amajor area of concern. Various de-noising techniques are used for removing thesenoises. In the proposed research work, we have implemented Adaptive NoiseCanceller on audio signal followed by the application of modified PSO. Theoptimization is achieved by the application of DAMP algorithm which uses theweight control factor. The results achieved have faster convergence but at thecost of complexity.
